The West Sands at St Andrews would be one of the best places to buggy in Scotland but: Its full and I mean full. Lots of walkers, small children, dogs and other kites make learning here dangerous and embarrassing. Also regulation man has arrived with his flags and so begins the slippery slope. ![]() Best Wind : E (very good) , W (gusty though) Worst Winds : N, S Good Points • Parking right at the beach • 2 mile run when the tide is out and if you ignore the flags. • With an E wind keep bugging till the tide laps at your wheels. Bad Points • Where do all the people come from? • Keep in between the flags or people get really grumpy. • Sand banks make it gusty in a Westerly. |
