Beach Info

Lunan Bay is a broad east-facing beach of reddish sand backed by dunes and framed by low cliffs to the north and south. From its northern end near Boddin Point, about three miles south of Montrose, it stretches for over two miles south to Ethie Haven.

There's a fair bit of sand here without the traffic or flags at St Andrews. Its a Surfers beach though so respect their space.

Best Wind : E (very good) , NE, SE (still doable)
Worst Winds : W

Good Points
• Parking right at the beach
• Good firm sand.
• With an E wind keep bugging till the tide laps at your wheels. (Just like St Andrews but without the flags!)

Bad Points
• There's a river in the middle, but it can be forded at speed. lol.
