Essentially two beaches joined at the hip. Hayle is at the bottom and Gwithian at the top. This is probably the most popular spot for kiting in Cornwall. High tide makes it difficult to kite at Hayle, little space with lots of families around - especially on a spring high. Best winds begin with an east in them although most directions are good, Westerly winds are very gusty though.
Not to many restrictions except stay of the dunes you bad boarders, and respect those day trippers town councilors and anyone else that gets in your *&@$£%^* way.
Best Wind: SE, E, NE.
Worst Winds : NW. W.
Good Points
• Make a holiday of it Cornwall is nice.
• Make the holiday in the winter no one goes there (Cornwall that is).
Bad Points
• Very busy in the summer worse than St Andrews on a Sunday afternoon.
